~ Six Mile #339, April 26, 2010   ~

Our Most Worshipful Grand Master and His Party visited Six Mile Lodge on April 26th , for a regular communication. Bro. Jerry Miller , Junior Warden, served an excellent meal: along with delicious deserts. The lodge was opened in due form, after which W. Bro. Melvin Watson and W. Bro. Tommy Durham; on behalf of Six Mile Lodge; presented M.W. Bro. Barry with a Honorary Perpetual Lifetime Membership and a Beautiful Plaque(  inscribed with His name and His Grand Masters" Coin, placed in the center.) M.W.Bro. Barry A. Rickman was the first to receive such a gift and will forever be placed upon The Perpetual Honor Roll; for his dedication and undying devotion to our ancient craft. M.W.Bro. Rickman gave words of encouragement and kindness; along with congratulations for proficiency and growth of the lodge. Our Grand Master also presented, our newest member, Bro. Bolding with his new dues card. Bro. Bolding was born in 1921 and is the oldest ,new member to join our craft. Almost ever Brother there was wearing a Grand Lodge Tie and dressed appropriately. R.W.Bro. James "Chico" Mathis was also awarded with an Honorary Perpetual Lifetime Membership; for his contributions in masonry. What a great honor to receive such an award. Thank you W.Bro. Melvin Watson for bringing forth this great idea to preserve masonry in the future of Six Mile Lodge. These Brothers not only work hard in the lodge, but in our community as well. Congratulations Brethren for a job well done. Let us continue onward and forward in this positive manner.
